D&O Nutraceutical Manufacturing
Halal OEM supplement and beverage powder manufacturing by D&O Nutraceutical in Perak, Malaysia

OEM Services | Trusted Halal Health Food & Beverage Manufacturer in Malaysia

What D&O does at each stage between your brief and a packed product: sourcing, formulation, sampling, product registration, packaging design, filling and packing — GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and JAKIM Halal certified.

What does D&O do as an OEM manufacturer?

Everything between your brief and a finished, packed product: sourcing certified raw material, developing the formula, sampling and revising it, supporting product registration, and filling and packing to your artwork at our Halal-certified plant in Perak.

ServiceWhat we commit toWhy it matters
SourcingOnly certified raw material is usedHalal status is decided at the ingredient level — emulsifiers, anti-caking agents, flavour carriers and anything dairy- or gelatine-derived are where it usually breaks.
FormulationExclusivity and secrecy of product formulation are assuredA formula built to your brief stays with your brand rather than being resold to the next client.
Product developmentStringent measures ensuring a high quality productBench sample, your feedback, revision, then a pilot run to confirm the formula behaves on the line before full production.
Product registrationCompliance with health regulations so the product can be soldCovers labelling, permitted ingredients and claims for the market you are selling into, checked before the run.
Marketing directionFunctional food and beverage that fulfil client needs and awarenessWhat sells at RM5 a sachet is a different product from what sells at RM25 — the positioning has to be decided before the formula.
Packaging designAn outsourced design team ready to assist with your brand imageFormat, dieline and artwork are decided together, because the fill weight and barrier material constrain both.
Filling and packingPacked to specification in a hygienic mannerSachet, stick pack, jar, tub or bulk, to your artwork.

How do I choose between OEM manufacturers in Malaysia?

Compare five things: whether they own the plant, whether their Halal and GMP certification covers your product type, whether they will make your pack format at your volume, who owns the formula, and whether they support product registration for your market.

  • Do they own the factory? A trading company can quote anything. Ask where the blending happens and who runs quality control.
  • Does the Halal certificate cover your category? Certification has a scope. A plant certified for beverages is not automatically certified for what you want to make.
  • Will they make your format at your volume? Sachet and stick-pack lines and bulk drum lines are different equipment. Ask which they run.
  • Who owns the formula? Under OEM it should be yours, and it should not be offered to the next client through the same door.
  • Can they support registration? Labelling, permitted ingredients and claims differ by market, and are fixed before production, not after.

Why manufacture in Malaysia rather than elsewhere?

Halal recognition and format fit. Malaysia's JAKIM framework is accepted across Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and the Gulf, and Malaysian factories are built around the small-sachet multi-pack formats that social commerce actually sells.

JAKIM Halal certification covers ingredients, processing aids, equipment, cleaning and storage, and is certified for food to MS 1500. It is recognised or accepted across Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and Gulf export markets.

D&O manufactures in Lahat, Perak, roughly midway between Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Goods reach both Port Klang and Penang Port easily, and Perak operating costs sit below Klang Valley levels — which shows up in the per-unit price of a production run.

What does D&O not do?

We do not sell competing retail brands in the categories we manufacture, and we do not make cosmetics, skincare or personal care at this plant — those sit with sister companies inside ORIZI Group.

A formula developed for your brand is not offered to another client, and D&O does not sell competing retail brands in the categories it manufactures.

What can I have manufactured?

Five product families in powder and sachet format, covering 35 product lines — from instant coffee and chocolate malt through protein and collagen to curry powder and snack seasoning.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between OEM and private label?
OEM means the recipe is developed to your brief and stays yours. Private label means an existing formula is adjusted slightly — flavour, strength or pack size — and sold under your name. OEM costs more up front and is harder to copy.
Will my formula be kept confidential?
Yes. Exclusivity and secrecy of product formulation are assured. A formula developed for your brand is not offered to another client.
Does D&O help with product registration?
Yes. We work to keep the product compliant with the health regulations that apply to it so it can legally be sold in the market you are targeting.
Can D&O help with packaging design?
Yes, through an outsourced design team who can work to your desired brand image. The artwork remains yours.
What do I need to prepare before asking for a quotation?
Four things: the taste or effect you want, your target retail price, the pack format, and rough monthly volume. A reference sample of a similar product lets us match texture, solubility and sweetness directly.
