In Indonesia the word is maklon — contract manufacturing. Search it and you will find hundreds of companies. Every company below was opened in a browser in August 2026, its own site read, and a page screenshotted.
Nine, not ten. Indonesia has by far the largest number of candidate companies of any country in this series and by far the highest proportion that could not be verified to the standard used here. That is a finding in itself, and it is explained at the end.
What do you actually have to check in Indonesia?
Three things, in this order. CPOTB — the BPOM manufacturing standard for traditional medicine and health supplements, without which a product cannot get a BPOM distribution licence. Which BPOM licence type the factory handles: SD (health supplement), TR (traditional medicine) or MD (food). And the exact name of the halal certifying body.
That third one is the decisive one for a Malaysian buyer, and it is the one most often glossed over. Indonesian halal certification runs through BPJPH, and halal certification is mandatory there — so every factory will have a certificate to show you. Whether JAKIM recognises the body that issued it is a completely separate question, and it decides whether your Malaysian pack can carry a halal logo at all.
Check JAKIM's current list of recognised foreign halal certification bodies against the exact name on the certificate. Not the country. Not the factory's assurance. The issuing body's name.
The background is in OEM Supplement Manufacturer in Indonesia.
1. PT Indocare Citrapasific
Manufacturing vitamins and health supplements since 1988 — the longest track record verified in this set. Offices at Kompleks Perkantoran Taman Meruya, Kembangan, Jakarta.
Certifications stated: ISO, CPOTB, GMP, CPKB (the cosmetics equivalent), BPOM registration and halal certification.
Formats stated: tablets, capsules, liquids and powders.
Manufacturing note. Holding CPOTB and CPKB together means supplements and cosmetics under one roof. Useful if your brand spans both; worth asking about segregation if your product must avoid cross-contact with cosmetic raw materials.

2. PT Aimfood Manufacturing Indonesia
Operating since August 2008. States BPOM and halal (MUI) certification, and an all-in-one service from concept consultation and formula R&D through legality handling to mass production. States 88+ brands and 321+ products.
Formats stated: capsules, powder, liquid, jelly and gel — plus beauty drinks, sports nutrition, weight management and herbal supplements.
Manufacturing note. Jelly and gel are the formats that make this one interesting from Malaysia: they are the Korean and Japanese formats ASEAN consumers now expect, and they are hard to source domestically. Note the page does not state CPOTB, ISO or HACCP — ask directly.

3. PT Mitra Abadi Nutraceutical
States CPOTB (GMP for TR) covering a specific, published list of facilities: capsules, soft capsules, oral powders, tablets, coated tablets, softgels and oral liquids. Handles POM SD, POM TR and POM MD registration. States MUI halal.
Manufacturing note. Publishing CPOTB scope form by form is the most useful thing a maklon site can do. CPOTB is granted per dosage form, not to a company — a factory certified for capsules is not automatically certified for your softgel. This one lets you check before you enquire.

4. PT Sukses Abadi Farmindo
Kawasan Industri Jatake, Tangerang. States CPOTB, BPOM, ISO and halal.
Categories stated: food and beverages, health supplements, traditional medicines, home care, medical devices and plant nutrition, in powder, tablet, capsule and liquid form.
Manufacturing note. That category spread is wide — home care and plant nutrition alongside supplements. Breadth is a commercial strength and a technical question at the same time: ask which lines are dedicated and which are shared, and how changeover is validated.

5. PT Gika Global Farmateknologi
Bantul, Yogyakarta. States an active CPOTB certificate, BPOM registration (code T9532*03) and MUI halal.
Formats stated: powder, capsules, tablets, honey, syrup and tea bags. Offers ODM and custom formulation.
Manufacturing note. The company makes the point itself, and it is the right one: CPOTB requires regular BPOM audits and is maintained through continuous compliance, not granted once. Ask when the last audit was — a certificate is a snapshot.

6. PT Nutrisius Sari Persada
Bogor, West Java. Positions on BPOM SD (health supplement) licensing, and handles TR as well.
Formats stated: powder in sachets, pouches and containers, capsules, spice and seasoning products, traditional and herbal products, and powder beverages. References low MOQ.
Manufacturing note. Powder sachets and seasoning in the same list is an unusual pairing and a familiar one — it is the same equipment family D&O runs. For a buyer comparing Indonesia against Malaysia on instant powder specifically, this is the closest like-for-like on the list.

7. PT Delta Atsiri Prima
Klaten, Central Java. States CPOTB, CPKB from BPOM, GMP, and halal availability. Explicitly positions on low MOQ for small businesses and start-ups.
Formats stated: extract capsules, oral liquids, rubbing oils and herbal beverages, plus essential oils, cosmetics and soaps.
Manufacturing note. Essential oils are the origin of this business and it shows in the product mix. For a botanical or herbal beverage concept the extraction capability is real; for a straightforward vitamin powder it is not the obvious fit.

8. PT Naturafit Thibbunnabawi Internasional (Nathin)
Desa Wisata Batik Pilang, Masaran, Sragen, Central Java. Copyright dates to 2007.
Certifications stated: CPOTB and ISO 9001:2015, with BPOM registration and halal certification support offered.
Formats stated: herbal capsules and tablets, instant powders and herbal beverages, syrups, extracts and oils, creams, salves and gels, herbal honey and propolis, balms, massage oils and aromatherapy. States low MOQ so start-ups can begin small.
Manufacturing note. ISO 9001 alongside CPOTB is worth noting: CPOTB governs how the product is made, ISO 9001 governs how the company is run. A maklon partner you will re-order from for years is a management-system question as much as a manufacturing one.

9. PT CAB Indonesia (Cabio)
States 100+ brands served, and handles the full route: formulation, production, packaging design and BPOM licensing across MD, TR, SD, PTO and PKRT.
Certifications stated: its certification page describes halal, an international production standard, a quality management system and Indonesian regulatory compliance — but names no specific certificate.
Manufacturing note. The BPOM licence spread is the widest on this list: MD (food), TR (traditional), SD (supplement), plus PTO and PKRT (household health products). If your brand spans categories, one partner covering all five saves real administration. But the unnamed certifications are your first question — ask for the CPOTB certificate and its scope.

What does this list tell you?
| Finding | What it means for your enquiry |
|---|---|
| CPOTB is granted per dosage form | A CPOTB certificate is not a blanket. Confirm it covers your form |
| Halal is universal there, and that is the trap | Every factory has a certificate. The question is whether JAKIM recognises the issuer |
| Low MOQ is openly advertised | Several state it plainly. Indonesia is approachable for a first run |
| BPOM licence type matters | SD, TR and MD are different routes. Confirm which the factory actually handles |
| Category spread is wide | Home care, plant nutrition, cosmetics alongside supplements. Ask about dedicated versus shared lines |
Why nine and not ten?
Because the difference between a maklon factory and a maklon broker is harder to see in Indonesia than anywhere else in this series. Many sites rank well for "maklon suplemen", present as manufacturers, and on inspection state no CPOTB certificate, no plant address and no BPOM facility code.
Several were dropped for exactly that: no verifiable manufacturing certification on their own site. Two more — Al Manar Herbafit, whose details appear only on a third-party WordPress blog rather than its own site, and Kanazain, whose domain did not resolve — could not be checked at all. That is not an accusation — it may simply be a website that does not publish it. But this list only carries companies whose own site substantiates that they manufacture.
If a maklon company cannot show you its CPOTB scope and its plant address, that is the first question, not the last.
Where D&O fits
D&O Nutraceutical Manufacturing manufactures powder functional food — instant beverages, supplement powders, meal replacement, savoury instant food and seasoning — at its plant in Lahat, Perak. Certifications: Halal (JAKIM, MS 1500), GMP (SIRIM QAS, MS 1514:2022, cert. GMP 00203), HACCP (SIRIM QAS, MS 1480:2019, cert. HACCP 00425), ISO 22000 (cert. FSMS 00229) and MeSTI (cert. ME0523069-0/1).
Indonesia's cost advantage is real. Where it narrows is precisely where halal matters most — because a JAKIM certificate issued in Malaysia removes the recognition question entirely, and an Indonesian one does not.
Frequently asked questions
What is maklon? The Indonesian term for contract or toll manufacturing — a factory producing under your brand.
What is CPOTB and do I need it? Cara Pembuatan Obat Tradisional yang Baik, BPOM's manufacturing standard for traditional medicine and health supplements. Without it a product cannot obtain a BPOM distribution licence. It is granted per dosage form, so check the scope.
Is an Indonesian halal certificate valid in Malaysia? Not automatically. It depends on whether JAKIM recognises the certifying body. Check JAKIM's current list against the exact name on the certificate.
Can Indonesian factories handle BPOM registration for me? Several state they do, covering SD, TR and MD licence types. Confirm which types that particular factory handles.

What we did and did not do
Every entry above is what the company states about itself on its own website, read in August 2026. We have not visited or audited any of these plants, and the order is by profile and scale rather than by merit. It is where your own due diligence starts, not where it finishes.
