Vietnam has the fastest-growing supplement manufacturing base in ASEAN and the hardest one to verify from outside. Every company below was opened in a browser in August 2026, its own site read, and a page screenshotted.
Nine, not ten. Vietnam is the hardest country in this series to verify from outside, and why that is the case is set out in full below rather than buried — it is the single most useful thing here for anyone planning to source there.
What is GMP-HS, and why is it the only screen that matters?
GMP-HS is Vietnam's mandatory Good Manufacturing Practice standard for health supplement production, certified by the Food Safety Department (Cục An toàn thực phẩm) of the Ministry of Health. Since it became mandatory, a factory without it cannot legally produce health supplements in Vietnam.
That makes the screening question unusually simple compared with Indonesia or Thailand. Does this factory hold GMP-HS, and can it show you the certificate? Everything else is secondary.
The other thing to understand: a Vietnamese GMP-HS certificate does nothing for your Malaysian registration. It is a Vietnamese manufacturing licence. Your Malaysian route still follows your product's form — NPRA registration for a dosage-form health supplement, or Food Act compliance through the Ministry of Health for a food product. And Vietnam is not a halal-driven market, so a halal logo is a question to ask, not an assumption to make.
1. IMC — International Medical Consultants
Factory at Quang Minh 1 Industrial Park, Me Linh District, Hanoi. States its Viet Tri factory was the first in Vietnam to achieve GMP-HS certification, in 2011.
Capacity stated: approximately 35 million units per year.
Formats stated: granules, capsules, tablets, syrups.
Facilities stated: a medicinal herb extraction line rated 2 × 4 tonnes/hour over 590 m², a 6,000 m² warehouse, RO water purification, central air conditioning with filtration, fluid bed dryer, granulator, automatic film coating and blister packing.
Manufacturing note. The equipment list is the most detailed published by any company in this series, and detail of that kind is checkable — you can ask to see each item. Being first to GMP-HS in 2011 also means the quality system predates the rule rather than being assembled to meet it.

2. Mediphar USA
Đức Hòa, Long An province — the industrial belt west of Ho Chi Minh City. States over 20 years of operation and a 12,000 m² factory.
Certifications stated: GMP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, ISO 13485:2016 and HACCP.
Formats stated: tablets, capsules, powder and liquid. States over 150 own products across liver and gallbladder support, joint health, beauty, digestion and vitamins and minerals.
Manufacturing note. ISO 13485 is the medical device quality standard, and its presence alongside food certifications tells you the quality system was built to a stricter discipline than supplements alone require. The 150-product own range is a double-edged fact: deep formulation experience, and a company that also competes in the categories it manufactures for you.

3. VIETMEC — Vietnam Medicinal Materials
Founded 2011. Factory in Phù Ninh, Phú Thọ province, over 20,000 m²; head office in Hanoi.
Certifications stated: GMP-WHO, GMP-HS, ISO 17025 and GLP.
Formats stated: soft extracts, concentrated extracts, dry extracts, tablets, hard capsules, granules and powders. Equipment stated as imported from Japan, South Korea and China, in a closed-loop unidirectional production model.
Manufacturing note. ISO 17025 is a testing laboratory accreditation, not a manufacturing one — it means the plant's own lab is competent to produce valid results. Combined with GLP, that is a company positioned around herbal extract science rather than around packing. If your product is an extract, this is the profile to look for.

4. Beatexpharm

Certifications stated: GMP-HS certified by the Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health, and ISO 22000.
Capacity stated: 100 million units per year across an 8,000 m² facility.
Formats stated: soft capsules, hard tablets and capsules, liquid preparations, lozenges, and herbal extract concentrates.
Manufacturing note. Naming the certifying authority — not just "GMP" but GMP-HS from Cục ATTP — is the correct way to state it and makes verification possible. The stated 100 million units on 8,000 m² also tells you this is a volume operation; ask early whether your run size fits its scheduling.

5. Meracine Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing
Yên Phong Industrial Park, Bắc Ninh. The most completely documented company in this set.
Certifications stated: GMP-WHO / GLP / GSP, GMP-TPBVSK — which it states was the first in Vietnam in that category — CGMP-ASEAN for cosmetics, and ISO 13485 for medical devices.
Licences published: business licence 2300577271 (5th amendment, 6 January 2023) and pharmaceutical operating certificate 829/ĐKKDD-BYT, issued by the Ministry of Health on 20 March 2023.
Manufacturing note. Publishing licence numbers and issue dates is rare and it is exactly what makes a claim checkable. Note the tension worth raising with both parties: IMC states it was first to GMP-HS in 2011, and Meracine states it was first for GMP-TPBVSK. Both are the companies' own claims; we have not resolved which is which, and neither should be repeated as settled fact.

6. Viheco Pharma
Quang Minh expanded Industrial Park, Mê Linh, Hanoi — the same industrial park as IMC. Representative office in Bắc Từ Liêm, Hanoi.
Certifications stated: GMP for health supplements, certified by Vietnam's Ministry of Health.
Formats stated: tablets, hard capsules, soft capsules, syrups and liquids, powders and granules, plus cosmetics (gels, creams, serums) and medical devices. Offers formula consultation, sample testing, registration support and marketing design.
Manufacturing note. Two GMP-HS holders in one industrial park is worth knowing if you are planning a site visit — Quang Minh in Mê Linh is where a Hanoi-based sourcing trip should start.

7. BCC Health (Vietnam Biochemical Technology)
Thạch Thất – Quốc Oai Industrial Park, Hanoi. Business registration dating from 19 January 2001. Facility stated at over 1,000 m² — the smallest here.
Certifications stated: GMP, GMP-HS and ISO 9001:2015.
Formats stated: probiotic liquid, oil, gel and powder forms, hard capsules, syrups, powders and gels. Describes itself as a leading expert on probiotics and beta glucan in Vietnam.
Manufacturing note. Probiotics are the specialism, and they are the hardest thing on this page to make well — live-culture counts have to survive blending, drying, packing and shelf life. A factory built around one technically difficult category is often a better partner for that category than a larger generalist.

8. Nanofrance
Office in Thanh Liệt, Hanoi; manufacturing at Đồng Văn IV Industrial Park.
Certifications stated: GMP.
Formats stated: tablets, capsules, powders and liquid solutions, plus skincare (creams, serums, lotions, cleansers, lipsticks, powders), hair and oral care, and medical devices including topical ointments, throat sprays and mouthwash.
Manufacturing note. Throat sprays and mouthwash alongside supplements is a genuinely different equipment set. For a brand planning a family of products around one health position — a supplement plus a topical plus an oral care item — this breadth under one GMP roof is unusual.

9. La Terre France
Phước Lý, Cần Giuộc, Long An province — the same industrial belt as Mediphar USA. States a 2,200 m² site.
Certifications stated: GMP.
Formats stated: functional food supplements, traditional herbal medicines and cosmetics.
Manufacturing note. The smallest and least documented entry here, included because it is a verifiable operating factory with a named address. Treat the single GMP claim as the starting point of your questions: which GMP, certified by whom, and covering which dosage forms.

Why nine and not ten?
This is the honest part, and it is worth more than six padded entries.
Vietnam's supplement manufacturing sector is largely documented in Vietnamese, and largely through intermediaries. Search for a Vietnamese functional food factory and the top results are dominated by three things that are not manufacturers:
- GMP consultancies.
gmp.com.vn— GMPc Vietnam — ranks at or near the top for factory searches. It is a consulting firm that helps companies build and certify GMP plants. Genuinely useful, and not a factory. - Directories and cleanroom suppliers. Several "Top 30 factories" pages are published by equipment vendors, list company names with no websites, and cannot be verified from the page itself.
- Manufacturer blogs ranking their competitors. At least one "Top 11 factories" article is published by a factory on this very list. That is not disqualifying, but it is not independent either.
Beyond that, several named Vietnamese manufacturers simply could not be reached: Abipha and Santex did not resolve at the domains found, and one company's site presented an expired TLS certificate. Others redirect to generic e-commerce hosting rather than a corporate domain.
None of that means those companies are poor. It means they could not be verified to the standard used here, and a list that pretended otherwise would be worth nothing.
The practical takeaway for a buyer: in Vietnam, more than anywhere else in this series, budget for a local intermediary or a site visit. The information you need to shortlist from a desk is not reliably online in English.
